Malaysia Idols Jaclyn Victor, Daniel Lee and Astronaut Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor are elected to be the ambassadors of Global Peace Festival (GPF) to promote peace and the culture of strong family in society.

The Universal Peace Federation (UPF) announced that Jaclyn Victor, Daniel Lee and Datuk Dr Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor are selected to be the ambassadors of GPF and issue the medallions to them at the press conference on 4th September, 2008.

The Project “Power of 10 cent” has been recognized in last Thursday, 4th Sept 2008 which the poster was presented. The newly appointed ambassador of GPF, Sheikh Muszaphar said, after return back from the space, he felt that the earth is so small, people which living in are always fighting together like war, though the galaxy is so big, I hope can make a changer of that problem.

‘That’s the thing what I want to do. When Dr. Teh (GPF Director) approaches me to be the ambassador, I accepted it without hesitation,’ he said.

‘Please bring your friends and families to join the GPF,’ he urges.

He added, everyone is playing their main roles to bring Malaysia becomes the capital of peace.

When asking the reason why Daniel Lee to be chosen as ambassador of GPF, the GPF director Dr. Teh Su Thye commented, Daniel has a healthy image and he is passionate on his dream so that he can be the model of the young generation.

He added, we are able to convey the peace message to the youth through Daniel and together, we bring peace of life centering in one dream.

Daniel Lee said,he was proud that become the ambassador of GPF because it can be make his dream of peace come true.

Furthermore, Jaclyn Victor said, love and respect are the elements to uphold the peace in our life.

‘We are not come from single body but we live together in a one cause,’ she adds.

On the other hand, the GPF patron, Tan Sri Datuk Paduka Dr. Hjh. Saleha Hj. Mohamed Ali said, each of us must hold the lifelong learning mindset, no matter in what stage of life, and peace must be on you.

She hopes through this activity the message of peace to be able to reach the public at the same time.

‘We can unite the spirits living for others and contribute to the community to help more vulnerable people, let us realizing the dream of one family,’ she said.

Therefore, she called all to attend the GPF on 17 to 19 October at the Stadium Putra Bukil Jalil, Kuala Lumpur.
